A Danube-journey in search of the extraordinary
People, who have set themselves the goal to dedicate their creativity to the extraordinary, live and
work in the valley of the Bavarian-Upper Austrian Danube region from Passau to the Strudengau.
They create “Treasures & Delicacies” (Kostbarkeiten & Köstlichkeiten), which are outstanding in
their idea and quality. The range of treasures reaches from traditional barge builders to masters
of chocolate and confectioners; from one of the last glassblowers to courageous wine-growing
pioneers; from vegetable farmers, who revive old kinds of vegetables and finally to chefs, who
prepare regional dishes for their guests.
