Modern/Lyrical 2<br />
Tuesday<br />
Y member rate: $43/month<br />
Y non-member rate: $86/month<br />
Modern/lyrical is more creative <strong>and</strong> less strict than ballet, while<br />
still working on dance technique, strength, flexibility, <strong>and</strong><br />
musicality. Class will start with a warm up to work on technique<br />
<strong>and</strong> flexibility. The class will move to center <strong>and</strong> across the floor<br />
work to explore different types of movements while maintaining<br />
technique. The class will end working on a combination that puts<br />
modern <strong>and</strong> lyrical together as a whole dance. Modern <strong>and</strong> lyrical<br />
are very well-rounded forms of dance that fully explore dance as a<br />
whole. Students will work to achieve a full split. Black yoga/stretch<br />
pants <strong>and</strong> black jazz shoes or ballet slippers required. A holiday<br />
<strong>and</strong> spring recital will be held. Information on recitals <strong>and</strong> costume<br />
fees will be emailed to parents.<br />

This school year program is an introduction to ballet <strong>and</strong> tap.<br />
Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers <strong>and</strong> black tap shoes<br />
required. A holiday <strong>and</strong> spring recital will be held. Information on<br />
recitals <strong>and</strong> costume fees will be emailed to parents.<br />
