Bobbin Head wins<br />
Platinum rating<br />
Empire <strong>Marina</strong> Bobbin Head in New South Wales has become a 5 Gold Anchor<br />
Platinum rated marina. It is the first in Australia to be Platinum accredited and<br />
is one of only three marinas in the world to have reached this level.<br />
The 200-berth marina, located in<br />
the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park<br />
in northern Sydney, is no stranger to<br />
awards, having twice won Australian<br />
<strong>Marina</strong> of the Year and, most recently,<br />
a local Better Business Award in the<br />
commercial and industrial category<br />
for its commitment to environmental<br />
sustainability.<br />
Darren Vaux, director of Empire<br />
<strong>Marina</strong>s, is very pleased with the<br />
Platinum result. “This achievement<br />
has taken an enormous effort and<br />
commitment from the whole marina<br />
team in striving for excellence in<br />
all areas of our business…and the<br />
continuous validation under the Gold<br />
Anchor programme will impose the<br />
discipline on us to keep us at the<br />
top of our game and to strive for<br />
constant improvement,” he said. “I<br />
