Ytron-Quadro says the latest
Ytron inline homogeniser, the
model ZHV, defines new limits
in shear energy and reduces the
gap in performance between
traditional in-line rotor/stator
systems and high-pressure
technology. It will be
demonstrated on its stand at
the PPMA Show this year.
The Ytron-ZHV offers more
than 30 times the shear energy
dissipation of a conventional rotor/
stator due to its high velocity rotor
and special tooling geometry.
Tip speeds of up to 60 m/sec can
be achieved, says the company.
Simple change of tooling
converts the special execution
for emulsification of droplets
into an efficient wet mill for size
reduction of suspensions.
The Ytron-ZHV-0 offers the
additional benefit of being able
to convert into a high efficiency
powder incorporation unit by a
simple change of the inlet housing.
The Ytron-ZHV is available
in four sizes from approximately
500 litres an hour up to 40,000
litres an hour. Typical applications
include creams, lotions and
emulsions in the cosmetics,
pharmaceutical and food
industries.
