Two labellers will
be demonstrated
on a larger stand
Langguth UK has a bigger
stand this year that is allowing
two labelling machines to be
demonstrated; a large, fully
automated, high speed machine
as well as a semi-automatic
desktop machine.
Langguth Labelling Machinery
offers wet glue and hotmelt and
self-adhesive labelling technology
to its customers. The machines
are built in Germany, but the sales
and after-sales support is local.
A UK based spares and service
team, including skilled local
engineers, means support is
always available.
UK LABELLING NEEDS
“We’re pleased to be exhibiting
again at this year’s PPMA
Show to discuss any labelling
requirements visitors might have,”
says Langguth UK director James
Causebrook. “We want to give the
show visitors the opportunity to
meet the people behind Langguth
UK, so a team of engineers and
sales support staff will be on hand
to discuss labelling solutions best
suited to any requirements and to
give expert advice,” he says.
Monobloc filler launch
brings operational gain
Adelphi Manufacturing
is launching a new
Response monobloc
filler at the PPMA Show
which, the company says,
provides many advantages
for customers compared with
traditional inline packaging
systems. It also offers benefits
to clients in the vaping,
cosmetics and pharmaceutical
industries many of which
have already expressed
interest in the new unit.
Built to pharmaceutical
standards, the hygienic
monobloc is a single-head filler
capable of filling containers
from 3 to 250 ml, at speeds
in the region of 30 fills per
minute. With easy-to-use HMI
touch screen controls and
quick strip-down, it is said
to improve productivity.
“Not only can the monobloc be
fully stripped in 10 minutes,
it is also quick and easy to
change parts from one fill size
container to another,” explains
Adelphi associate director
Nicola Jones.
A major improvement is the
footprint of the machine which
The new monobloc from Adelphi Manufacturing will be shown at the NEC
has been drastically reduced.
This, in turn, saves customers
vital space compared to inline
systems. Lengthy composite
conveyor systems with
several individual machines
are replaced by compatible
components surrounding
a single star wheel.
Adelphi’s monobloc has
also been designed to save
customers money, compared
to the cost of purchasing all of
the separate machines required
in an inline system.
The single star wheel completely
synchronises packaging
processes, and this simple,
intuitive set-up also provides
the benefit of reduced labour
costs compared to the average
inline packaging system.
Latest inspection equipment includes a new feature to allow
quicker set up while reducing false rejects in manufacturing
Heuft will demonstrate further
developments for the in-line
quality inspection of products
and packaging which puts the
safety of food at the forefront
as well as discussing the new
reflexx II which allows specific
teaching in of individual
quality requirements across
the technologies offered by
the company.
This allows quicker set up
and reduces false rejects that
can be an issue with some
‘teach in’ mchine features,
says the company.
The Heuft ONE for code
verification, marking and
label inspection detects best
before and expiry dates,
barcodes and 2D codes, article
and serial numbers, imprints
and lettering which have been
incorrectly applied and are
inaccurate. The same also
applies to deviating logos as
well as non-brand colouring
and design elements.
On the stand, this unit will
include a new high-resolution,
smart colour camera that
offers users versatile easy to
set code checking and network
capability for data transfer
from the Heuft device.
Also shown will be
the eXaminer II XB
top-down foreign body
detection machine
with special pulsed
x-ray technology to
deliver accurate and
reliable detection of
contaminants such as
metals, glass, stone
and bone.
