Claire A. Palumbo
Claire A.
Palumbo (Carlson),
of Lynnfield MA,
passed away quietly
at her home
surrounded by
her loving family
on Friday Sept. 7,
2018.
Claire was
born in Lynn,
Massachusetts,
on May 4, 1934. She went to
Lynn Classical High School
and attended Kathryn Gibbs
School. She also was graduated
as a medical assistant
with whom she went alongside
her daughter, Paula Chabra.
Claire and her family have
been residents of Lynnfield
for 42 years. Claire loved
oil painting, long walks,
and art classes but truly
loved spending time with
her family. She worked at
General Electric in Lynn, and
later opened up two businesses,
which she ran with
her daughter Paula.
Claire is preceded in death
by her parents, Fred and Rita
Carlson, as well as sister
Joan Cantrell, Rita Stier and
brother John Carlson.
Beloved mother of Paula
Chabra and
her fiancé Tony
Doucette of
Lynnfield, son
Steven Palumbo
and husband
Douglas Frens of
Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., and son
David Palumbo.
Her grandchildren
Christina Chabra
of Lynn, Andrew Chabra
and Richard Palumbo of
Lynnfield. Claire is survived
by her brother Fred “Babe”
Carlson of Manchester, Conn.
Claire leaves many nieces
and nephews throughout
New England.

Michelle Whalen, it operates on

It’s the company’s first
brick and mortar location and
joins other children’s shops
at the mall including Hanna
Andersson, Pottery Barn Kids,
and Gymboree.
With a focus on promoting
imagination and creative
thinking, Andover Bear Co. is
committed to designing heirloom
quality gifts and toys that
inspire. The store’s namesake
teddy bear, made from a cotton
and linen blend, is built to be a
child’s best buddy for years to
come. The signature bear, with
its classic features and subtle
smile, is offered in a variety of
colors: brown, gray, light gray,
and amber.
In addition, guests will find
prints of original artwork and
décor for a child’s room or play
area. The art collection features
colorful, whimsical prints, including
bears on high flying
adventures, exploring the deep
ocean, and trekking across
mountain tops. Also available
are ultra-soft bear blankets
complete with animal ears and
plush trim; cotton linen blend
pillows adorned with original
illustrations; and letter books,
books that corresponds with the
first initial of a child’s name and
highlights other words starting
with the same letter. The pillows
and letter books are available
for purchase in store or can
be personalized and shipped.
“When someone walks into
our store, I hope they’re enveloped
by a sense of wonder,”
said Whalen in a statement.
“My goal is to promote imagination
