He explained the process relative to how the elections
would be conducted. He stated that along with persons
recommended, he would be taking nominations from the
floor, ballots would be distributed, votes would be taken
and the elected determined by majority votes.

Retiring from the Supervisory Committee were Melinda
Lloyd, Glaister Dunkley, Corine McCalla, Viris Jones-
Reece, Annmarie Raymond, Rolston McFarlane and
Terrence Knight.
The following persons were duly elected to serve on the
Supervisory Committee: Caphanne March, Stacey
Samuels, Corine McCalla, Viris Jones-Reece and
Annmarie Raymond.

Based on the signed Memorandum of Understanding
with the former CG Co-operative Credit Union, Mr. Clive
Segree and Ms. Maxine Gardener will continue to serve
on the Committee:
MOTION TO SELECT DELEGATES AND
ALTERNATE DELEGATES
Mr. Michael Webb, the Director of Elections invited a
motion from the floor to give the Board of Directors the
authority to select the Delegates and Alternate Delegates
to the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League. The
motion was moved by Mr. Anthony Creary and
seconded by Mr. Delroy Redway.
OBSERVATION
Mr. Michael Webb, before proceeding to the Resolutions,
said that he observed where the Fixing of Maximum
Liability and Distribution of Surplus were taken in the
Treasurer’s Report and that was not in keeping with the
Agenda. He said that the representation was to place the
Distribution of Surplus and Fixing of Maximum Liability as
a subheading under the Treasurer’s and Auditor’s Report.
He subsequently asked for a suspension of the Standing
Orders. The motion was moved by Miss Sonia Smith and
seconded by Miss Natalie Sparkes.
RESOLUTION FOR RULE CHANGE
Mr. Webb pointed out that the first rule change had to do
with the merger of CG Co-operative Credit Union Limited,
allowing other merging partners to be eligible for
membership. He noted that the Credit Union was on a
drive to increase its membership and mergers was one
of the options. He outlined that the Current Rule had
been amended to read “members and persons eligible
to be members of the Credit Union that have merged with
the Credit Union”. The Director of Elections proceeded
to take a vote on the rule change. He noted that there
was 140 persons in the room and that 75% of 140 would
be 105 votes, which would be needed to have the rule
change passed. Voting was done by the show of hand.
The Rule was passed. The motion was moved by Ms.
Sonia Smith and seconded by Miss Natalie Sparkes.
