Oct. 27 — Creepy Crawl 5K &<br />

Vampire Mile<br />

Baldwin Park, 4990 New Broad St., Orlando, hosts<br />

the Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida’s annual<br />

Orlando Creepy Crawl 5K and Vampire Mile walk.<br />

Costumes are encouraged. Time: 5 p.m. Awards are<br />

presented to the top team/individual fundraisers, and<br />

the 5K is officially timed. There is also free food, candy<br />

and games for all. Anyone who raises at least $50<br />

receives an event T-shirt. Proceeds benefit the HFGF<br />

Nov. 3 — Friends Of The Poor 5K<br />

The Carter Center Pavilion at Bill Frederick Park at<br />

hosts St. Vincent de Paul Society’s fourth annual<br />

Friends of the Poor 5K walk/run, including food and<br />

goodie bags for all participants, a silent auction<br />

and raffle. Time: 8 a.m. for registration, 9 a.m. for<br />

the walk/run. Cost: $25, with proceeds benefiting<br />

local people in need and the food pantry at Holy<br />

Nov. 10 — 5K Run For The Gift<br />

SouthWest Aquatics, 205 Windermere Road, Winter<br />

Garden, hosts the 11th annual 5K Run for the Gift,<br />

including a silent auction that goes live in October.<br />

Top race participants in each age group win Aquatica<br />

tickets. Time: 7 a.m. for start of race, followed by a<br />

free kids run and awards ceremony. Donations and<br />

sponsorships are needed. Cost: Registration fee is<br />

$25 through Oct. 16, $30 after Oct. 16, and $35<br />

the day of the race, with proceeds going toward The<br />

Gift of Swimming’s goal to ensure the community’s<br />

at-risk children can receive potentially life-saving<br />

Nov. 12 — Over The Edge For<br />

Mission United<br />

The B Resort & Spa, 1905 Hotel Plaza Blvd., Lake<br />

Buena Vista, hosts Over the Edge for Mission United,<br />

during which participants rappel down 17 stories in a<br />

safe environment. No experience required. Participants<br />

must weigh between 110-300 pounds and be at least<br />

14 years old. Registration is open on a first-comefirst-served<br />

basis and limited to 76 participants, who<br />

each must raise a minimum of $1,000 to secure<br />

their spot. Proceeds benefit Heart of Florida United<br />
