encountered a woman subjected to bleeding for twelve years.<br />
She had suffered a great deal while under the care of many<br />
doctors, but when she met Jesus, she was instantly healed! As<br />
if that weren’t enough, Jesus also raised a dead little girl back<br />
to life, astounding her family <strong>and</strong> mourners.<br />
At the end of our reading, Jesus sent his disciples out in<br />
pairs to do what he sends us to do: to teach <strong>and</strong> do what he<br />
taught <strong>and</strong> did, to follow his example as the Ultimate Life<br />
Helper!<br />

• After reading <strong>Mark</strong> 4:35–6:13, what did you notice,<br />
perhaps for the first time? What questions do you<br />
have? What did you learn about the heart of God?<br />
• What did the disciples discover about Jesus after<br />
he calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee?<br />
• Why was the man possessed by demons called<br />
“Mob”? What did the demons inside the man say<br />
to Jesus when he met them? How did people<br />
