Conference on Britain’s future: Will our
nation carry on casting off the Christian faith?
Will it carry on abandoning Biblical morality (as
is happening even in many churches), in the
cause of so called liberal progressiveness? Our
conference on October 13th will focus upon the
need for the nation to return to the one true faith
Jesus Christ crucified for sinners. The Bible
plainly teaches that national prosperity, security
and well-being depend totally upon a country’s
standing before God. So the conference
(beginning at 11am and going on till 4pm) will
focus upon the need for Britain to return to its
Christian foundations. Fuller details about the

Sunday School: Our Bible-based Sunday
school for children aged 4-14 operates each

Tylers Green Methodist Church
In a service at The Avenue, High Wycombe
Methodist Church, Rev Vida Foday was
welcomed as a Circuit Minister with pastoral
care for Tylers Green and three other Circuit
Churches. In a message to the folk at our
Coppice Farm Road Church, Vida writes:
“My hope is that God, who has called me to
His service, will guide, strengthen, and grant me
the wisdom to lead and support my new
congregations in the journey of faith. What
assured my family and I that the High Wycombe
Circuit is indeed where God wants me to be
now, is the great welcome and hospitality that
we received when we first visited the four
churches. We met with a cross-section of lovely

people from the churches and from the Circuit
plus the Superintendent Minister, and the
hospitality was the great attraction.
I am a down-to-earth person, ready to learn
and share my gifts with everyone. My initial
priorities at my four Churches will be to
encourage the congregations to develop and
deepen their faith, to assist individuals in
sharing that faith in a way that draws other
people to God. More importantly, I hope to
provide pastoral support (which I am passionate
about) to my four congregations. Getting to
know my new congregations and their needs in
terms of ministry will be on top of my agenda.”
We look forward to helping Vida to get to
know our area and providing opportunities for
you to meet with her in due course.
On Sunday 11th November at 10.45am there
will be a special service commemorating 100
years since the end of the First World War.
You are also welcome to come to our charity
lunch on Saturday 11th October at noon when
we shall be raising money for Action for
