Long Beach
Robbie Motter
Director
Long Beach nafe Long Beach nafe is still in the growing stage, we have a great
meeting location at Forbidden City with lots of space to really grow the network Our
membership Is made up of entrepreneurs in the health field , jewelry, speakers and
even a person that sells great hats, jewelry and clothes,
The co director of the network is Ilja Haverkorn who is a catering and wine expert. She
lives not too far from our meeting location so is great at spreading the word about our
network, She is a single mom with two young boys. She used to own a chain of spas all
over Southern Ca which were very successful when she ran them. When she became
a mom she stayed home to care for them and he did not do a good job of running the
business so they closed .
Ilja is originally from Holland and had been a nafe member for many many years I met
her before she even had children . Our goal for this network is to see it grow and that
we are there to offer more opportunities for our members, It's a delight to be on the
team with ilja as she is a woman with a big heart who is always there to help and also
her most special goal Is to be a great mom to her boys .
I also would like to see on 2019 for her to step up and be the director of this network as
she is a great leader .

Meet IIja Haverkorn who is the Co Director of the Nafe Long Beach Network.
I consider myself to be a catering and wine expert. Originally from Holland, I have
been a Nafe member for years. My goal is to see the Long Beach Nafe network
expand by offering more value and opportunities for our members, It's a delight to
be on the team as a woman with a big heart who is always there to help. My
short term goal is to become the Director of the Long Beach Nafe Network..
I live in close proximity to the Long Beach meeting location which provides me
with the opportunity to network with business women in the area. I owned a
successful chain of spas throughout Southern California that helped to sharpen
my business and people skills. Without my day to day hands on the business I
was forced to close the business.
Switching gears towards my family I became a mom and was blessed with two
young boys. I elected to be a stay at home mom to give them the best care
possible.
. My primary goal Is to be a great mom to my boys

I am constantly looking for opportunities to share with all my nafe
sisters no matter what network they are in.
One thing we did recently is to do table topics rather than have a
speaker and the members liked it as it was a great way to really get
to know the members better so next year instead of a speaker
every month we will do table topics one month and a speaker the
next.
It was great to get a variety of input from The members on the
questions asked . These are all amazing women who touch Lives
everyday .

Joan E. Wakeland
Director
Message from Nafe Riverside by
Joan Wakeland, Director
Greetings,
This has been an awesome year! Many of the members feel comfortable to share Nafe, others have formed a
friendship with a new person. Some have stopped by to spot check us and some have stopped by with a big agenda.
We have changed our meeting location and have attracted new members.
What is encouraging is the support and introduction of their business that some are experiencing! As you all know
people like to do business with those that they know and trust.
Another great factor we experienced is the fact that many nafe members are speaking to our group. It is a fact that
nafe stands behind its members and open doors for many, what nafe cannot do is walk thru the door for you. You have
to take the action and walk thru the door yourself. It is called action !
You have to suit up, show up and walk thru that door. We invite you and your colleagues to do so! We also invite you
to start showing up at other Affiliate meetings! We have great Speakers, great company of empowered women who
will share ideas, information and mentor you.
In December, there will not be a meeting at the Riverside location. Our Global Director, Robbie Motter is having nafe
members to celebrate in two locations. One in West Hollywood and one in the Temecula area. See you at either one,
Robbie has sent that information out. Always feel free to call, text or e- mail me
A great opportunity for you or others you know its open to all
ages check it out.
Remember it's a great experience to step out of your comfort
zone and do something new and fun, and the most important
thing is to SHOW UP in life as SHOWING UP is like a treasure
map you never know what treasure you will find and this looks
like an exciting treasure to me. So be bold and daring and just
DO IT!

Nafe Women
Love to Have
FUN
by Robbie Motter
Recently Menifee/Temecula
and Murrieta Nafe members
dressed up and SHOWED UP
at a Red Carpet VIP Event in
Hollywood. Many of these
dynamic ladies also in
addition to Nafe belong to the
GFWC Menifee/Sun City
Woman's Club and also are
members of the Diva
Registry.
One of their nafe members
Debra Legans owns Wings
Limo Company so she
brought her big Limo bus to
pick everyone up and picked
them up at Robbie Motter's
house, and of course we had
to take photos of the start of
the fun journey. The VIP
Tickets for the event were
given to Robbie from her
friend Dame Shellie Hunt who
is a nafe member but who
also is the CEO and Founder
of the Women of Global
Change.
The song "Girls Just Want To
Have Fun" is totally what
these girls love to do. They
had a blast !
and Lori Soltas my daughter from VA who also are nafe members.
You can see on the
expression on their faces that
they were having fun. When
they showed up they ran into
other nafe members and met
lots of dynamic individuals,
got interviewed on the red
carpet and so much more.
A few days later another
adventure took place and
some of the gals went wine
tasting, which also included
my two daughters Lisa
Gritzner from Los Angeles
Nafe women love all sorts of
things you can catch them
at a Temecula Valley
Symphony Concert,
Academy of Ballet Arts
events, many were involved
in Temecula Start Up Week,
All Women Rock events,
and now that Robbie's non
profit GSFE has formed a
collaboration with CD
Wilson events you can be
sure to see them at any of
the 20 plus events his
company does a year. All
of these women and their good friend Robert "Hollywood" Moreno who is also a
nafe member also work hard and serve their communities well in so many ways
but they know that life is short and that when they have an opportunity to SHOW
UP they do. They know from me saying it all the time that SHOWING UP is like
a treasure map and you never know what treasure you will find, and believe me
there is always a treasure. Just by SHOWING UP at the VIP event in LA we
connected with many who have invited us to their upcoming Red Carpet events.
So ladies no matter what your age (I will be 83) there is nothing you cannot do,
its really up to you), getting involved will make you friends, you will have lots of
opportunities to do fun things as well as get involved in giving back to your
community.
We invite you to come join us at nafe check out wrnafe.com on where we meet,
or join us at the GFWC Menifee/Sun City Womans club check out that website at
gfwcmenifeesuncity.com or become one of our registered diva's there are 56 of
us https://www.divaregistry.org/ You probably will find that most of us belong to
all three of these groups and would love to have you join us.
