Mixed Media Printmaking<br />

In this intermediate-level class, learn how to co-mingle<br />

and create prints with multiple techniques on one surface.<br />

Students will learn methods by which to create rich artworks<br />

using etching, solar plates, collagraphs, monotypes, and more<br />

to create monoprints! Investigate the interesting imagery that<br />

can be created when varying techniques come together to<br />

interact and overlay.<br />

Screen Printing<br />

Learn the complete process of screen printing using light<br />

sensitive photo-emulsion. After a demonstration day, create<br />

your own image and translate it into a unique edition of multicolored<br />

prints using water-based inks.<br />

Colorful Collagraph Prints<br />

ABILITY: ALL<br />

Collagraph is a basic method of printmaking using a board<br />

with collage materials glued onto it to form a relief surface<br />

with a variety of textures. Students will create their own<br />

plates, and print in multiple colors and layers to create vibrant<br />

unique prints.<br />

All the basics of print room procedure, at your own pace. Learn<br />

drawing with a brayer, painting, stencil, color and layers, with<br />

creative discussion. Certifies you to safely use the press and<br />

use print room independently.<br />

Monotype Portfolio<br />

For those who have had print experience, and want to explore<br />

further in a studio atmosphere. Try ‘Chine Colle’, expand your<br />

color, build a portfolio or explore a series. Weekly demos and<br />

discussion with others about creative growth.<br />

Introduction to Intaglio<br />

Investigate intaglio printmaking techniques, focusing on zinc<br />

etching, polymer plate etching and drypoint. Expand your<br />

knowledge of intaglio processes with weekly demonstrations<br />

in plate making and printing techniques.<br />

Introduction to Woodcut Printmaking<br />

This workshop is a great introduction to woodcut — one of the<br />

simplest and oldest forms of printmaking. Learn techniques<br />

in carving, inking and printing single and multi-color woodcut<br />

prints. This workshop is beneficial for both beginning and more<br />

experienced woodcut students.<br />
