Fuel discounts vary across Challenge sites, with a minimum discount of 8 cents per litre. Challenge are now offering 1 point per $1 spend. Points can be redeemed against a number of rewards available in-store. Grey Power members will also continue to receive their fuel discount. BY MAC WELCH, Grey Power national president What is the My Challenge Programme? My Challenge is about choice. The choice to either donate towards local community groups or redeem your fuel discount. The My Challenge Programme is a community-based fundraiser and loyalty programme designed to support local organisations that are important to each participating Challenge retailer’s community. My Challenge allows customers to donate their fuel discount earned to a participating Challenge retailer’s elected Community Group. Members of the My Challenge programme also earn points for their spend, which can be redeemed in-store for rewards on products or services (terms and conditions apply). The three benefits of My Challenge Fuel discounts My Challenge Programme members receive a fuel discount. You can choose to donate or use your fuel discount when filling up your vehicle at a participating Challenge retailer. The current discount varies from 8 cents per litre to as high as 15 cents a litre, depending on which Challenge you use. Because Challenge sites are privately owned, each operator is free to offer extra discount if they wish, but 8 cents is the minimum discount. Donations To donate your fuel discount to the local community group your participating Challenge retailer is supporting, you’ll first need to register to support them. You can view all community groups online at www.mychallenge.co.nz. Once registered, you’ll have the choice to donate to this group each time you fill up and are eligible for a fuel discount. You’ll be kept informed as to how much you have donated in your monthly My Challenge Programme update, and you can also keep track of your community group’s overall fundraising efforts on My Challenge. You can change your donation preferences at any time by signing into your account and changing your community settings. Earning points My Challenge members earn one point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases at participating Challenge retailers, which can be redeemed for rewards that will be available in store (terms and conditions apply). How do I get started with My Challenge?
