Habits<br />

FOR KEEPS<br />

So it’s a New Year and of<br />

course a new you. That’s<br />

quite a lot of pressure<br />

though BY RUBY isn’t REEDit?<br />

Well how about<br />

an improved you?<br />

Doesn’t sound quite<br />

as daunting does it?<br />

Also Improving is a constant<br />

goal not a high bar that must<br />

be reached- i.e. no failing<br />

forecast whatsoever.<br />

This year why not incorporate<br />

some healthy habits to your<br />

lifestyle. Once we get in the<br />

swing of them, they are easy<br />

to do when we need a boost.<br />

I have three that help day to<br />

day living, very easy to do and<br />

you’ll notice the difference.<br />

DRINK UP<br />

No, not the naughty kind. But a glass of water. Even<br />

when you think you don’t need one. A lot of us (guilty<br />

as they come myself) don’t drink enough water and<br />

there really is no substitute. Sorry if its not your<br />

favourite beverage (again me too) but its what we<br />

need. Try an extra glass a few times a day. What<br />

benefits did I find? It curbed hunger and ah yeah I<br />

haven’t had a headache for a while! Seems rather<br />

worth it don’t you think?<br />

WALK IT OFF<br />

It can be hard to fit in an appropriate amount of<br />

exercise in your standard week. Office hours can<br />

be long and the day can run away. However even<br />

a 20-minute walk can boost your mood. What do<br />

you normally do on your lunch break, or after tea?<br />

Fresh air is a must, to clear your head and stretch<br />
