In the organization of the Student Entrepreneur Incubator, a guest lecture
on November 21, 2018 at the Faculty of Economics & Business gave Prof.
Salvatore Tomaselli, PhD, professor of business administration and member
of the ARCA Incubator Committee from the University of Palermo, Italy.
On the example of the Academic Incubator of the University of Palermo, as
well as many others in the world, it is emphasized that university entrepreneurial
incubators play a key role in the development of entrepreneurship
and the solving of the problems of youth unemployment.
In his lecture titled Cases on Business Planning, Professor Tomaselli recalled
the importance of making a business plan when starting an entrepreneurial
venture. Underlining the key elements of a business plan from an investor
perspective, Professor Tomaselli emphasized that every business plan
should be preceded by a well-crafted Canvas business model for future business,
all with the aim of ensuring consistency between the mission, vision,
strategy and business objectives and financial projections. Students have
also received a lot of advices on how to best present their entrepreneurial
idea to investors in order to provide the necessary financial resources.
Organized by the Department for Organization and Management, on November
26, 2018, the Faculty of Economics & Business visited Prof. Jeong-
Hoan Seo, PhD, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National
University of Changwon, South Korea.
He was welcomed by the dean Prof. Jurica Pavičić, PhD, Vice-Deans Prof.
Oliver Kesar, PhD, Assist. Prof. Božidar Jaković, Phd and Assoc. Prof. Sanja
Sever Mališ, PhD, and Prof. Darko Tipurić, PhD, Head of the Department
for Organization and Management and Prof. Marijan Cingula, PhD with
whom he discussed the possibilities of cooperation.
Professor Seo also held a guest lecture on the topic Industry-University cooperation
system in Korea as part of the Deciding and Organization course.
