RECOMMENDED LOCAL ROAD (COMMERCIAL) DESIGN Map of the recommended light fixture spacing for local, commercial roadways. • Guidelines In order to illuminate local commercial roads, such as the northern portions of Locust St and Monaco St, to IESNA specified standards, it is our recommendation that fixtures be mounted 20 feet above the finished grade and be spaced 100-140 feet apart, with 120 foot spacing being ideal. We also recommend that the fixtures be placed on both sides of the road and alternate their spacing as shown in the above graphic in order to illuminate both sides of the road and parking areas evenly. 134 Derby Lighting & Signage Plan
