Developmental Disabilities Board
The Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities will
meet at 4 p.m. Feb. 21 at the administrative office, 500 Elm St., London.
If the meeting is cancelled, it will be rescheduled for Feb. 28.
Farmers’ Breakfast Series
The Madison County Farm Bureau and Madison County/Ohio
State University Extension are sponsoring a Farmers Breakfast Series.
Each breakfast takes place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Der Dutchman,
445 S. Jefferson Ave., Plain City. The events are free, but

Hearts and Flowers
The 8th Annual Hearts and Flowers, a Christian social
event for adults, couples and singles, is set for 6-9
p.m. Feb. 9 at First Baptist Church, 250 Toland, London.
Admission is a $5 donation and one non-perishable
food item. All proceeds go to Food Through Faith, a food
bank in London. The evening will include music, dancing,

stories, songs, fingerplays and a weekly letter activity.
• Levi at the Library. Register your child for a 10-
minute slot to read with Levi, a registered therapy dog.

Medication Assisted Treatment Training
Madison County is the site of one of 10 trainings
across the state on criminal justice medication assisted
treatment (MAT). The free training is set for 8:30 a.m.-
4:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Procter Center, 11235 State
Rte. 38 SE, London. Registration starts at 8 a.m.
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction
Services is sponsoring the trainings, which are targeted
at criminal justice professionals but open to the
public. The sessions will focus on the nature, application
efficacy nd implementation of MAT. Moore Counseling
and Mediation Services is hosting the trainings.

for 2-4 p.m. Feb. 16 at Mount Sterling First United
Methodist Church. Discounted pre-sale tickets are on
sale now. Seating is limited to 100 people.
• Closed. The library will be closed Feb. 18 for Presidents
Day.
• Ladies Night Out. Watch a recently released movie
at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 on the library’s big screen. Bring a
potluck dish.
Pancake Breakfast
The Friends of Madison County Parks & Trails and
the Madison County Senior Citizens Center are hosting
an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from
7 to 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at the senior center, 280 W. High St.,
London. Adults eat for $6; children 12 and younger eat
for $4. Also, a silent auction will take place from 7 to
10:45 a.m.
Pheasants Forever Banquet
Darby Plains Chapter 956 of Pheasants Forever and
Quail Forever will hold its annual banquet Feb. 16 at
the Madison County Fairgrounds, 217 Elm St., London.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Food, games, prizes, raffles and
auctions are planned. Proceeds benefit habitat conservation
and youth involvement.
Tickets are $55 for singles, $80 for couples, and $20
for youths. Sponsorship options are: table, $400; banquet,
$250; pheasant, $500; gold, $1,000. All tickets include
dinner and one membership. Table sponsors
receive one membership, eight dinners, $150 in “rooster
bucks” and a drawing for gun of choice. All other sponsor
levels include one membership, two dinners, $150
in “rooster bucks,” and one ticket per $250 for the gun
of choice drawing.
Registrations made by Feb. 4 qualify for an early
bird raffle. Rooster bucks can be used on games and raffles
(auctions are excluded).

Retired Teachers
The Madison County Retired Teachers Association
will meet Feb. 11 at Ben & Joy’s Restaurant, 35 S. London

p.m. Madison County Commissioner David Hunter will
