INDOOR SPORTS: When it started raining last<br />

week, El Shaddai Christian Academy’s<br />

pre-primary section moved its sports day<br />

indoors. Little ones had a ball doing egg and<br />

spoon races, bean bag toss, sprints and other<br />

fun activities. Pupils were divided into the Lions<br />

team or the Eagles<br />

COLOUR CODING: Shaw Park Primary grade 2<br />

pupils, Tiffany Engelbrecht, left, and Savanna<br />

Stewart, enjoyed learning about primary and<br />

secondary colours in art class. All the children<br />

did well mixing their own purple, orange and<br />

greens<br />

ECO EXCELLENCE: Elána Bothma is only in grade<br />

1 at Port Alfred High School and has already<br />

handed in two boxes of eco-bricks she has<br />

made with a little help from her family. The<br />

school is hoping to build a tennis clubhouse<br />

and appeals to the community to assist with 2l<br />

cooldrink eco-bricks by dropping them off at<br />

the front office<br />

FIFTY ON THE TROT: Port Alfred High School’s<br />

estate manager, Lance Parker, recently<br />

completed his 50th Port Alfred Park Run. He<br />

also put his fitness levels to good use in the<br />

staff vs pupils relay race at the school’s<br />

interhouse athletics day as a member of the<br />

staff team, impressing several pupils with his<br />

sprinting abilities<br />

FIRST TEAM SPONSORS: Richard Legg representing iHIRE and<br />

Michelle Nel representing Trellidor attended the Port Alfred High<br />

School assembly on Monday where they handed over sponsored<br />

shirts to Jayden Roesstorff, captain of the cricket team. This is<br />

the second year these two companies have teamed up to provide<br />

much needed sponsorship to the cricketers<br />

SAND ART: Shaw Park Primary pupils, from left, Carter<br />

Stewart, Rebekah Downey and Megan Fletcher enjoyed<br />

some fun on the beach building a mermaid. The school<br />

thanked teacher Eve Clayton for this wonderful outing<br />

and adventure for the children<br />
