tourism career and training opportunities at the <strong>ITB</strong> Career<br />

Centre in Hall 11.1.<br />

30 national and international<br />

universities, technical colleges,<br />

professional academies and<br />

other service providers will be<br />

presenting their courses and<br />

advanced training.<br />

take advantage of the individual<br />

career advice on offer from the<br />

Federal Employment agency<br />

as well as free application form<br />

checks. Interested visitors can find<br />

out about the tourism job market<br />

and its opportunities from experts<br />

during the four-day programme<br />

of stage events as well as at the<br />

Young Professionals Day at the<br />

<strong>ITB</strong> <strong>Berlin</strong> Convention.<br />

of the stage events will be on<br />

the <strong>ITB</strong> Young Professionals Day.<br />

In keynote speeches, interviews<br />

and at panel discussions, senior<br />

decision-makers from the tourism<br />

industry will offer an insight into<br />

the working world of the travel<br />

sector.<br />

Sören Hartmann, CEO of DER<br />

Touristik Group and board<br />

member of the REWE Group,<br />

will be drawing on long years of<br />

experience when he talks about<br />

opportunities in tourism and the<br />

key to success in an industry that<br />

is facing major change.<br />

Under the heading of ’Travel<br />

agencies as a point of entry’<br />

Thomas Bösl, managing director<br />

of Raiffeisen-Tours RT-Reisen<br />

GmbH, will talk about how travel<br />

sales can be the cornerstone of<br />

successful careers and lucrative<br />

business models.<br />

Markus Heller, managing director<br />

of Dr. Fried und Partner, will talk<br />

about mega industry trends and<br />

highlight their impact on the<br />

travel industry, while Ingo Lies,<br />

founder and managing director<br />

of the <strong>Berlin</strong>-based tour operator<br />

Chamäleon Reisen, will talk about<br />

motivation and emotive appeal in<br />

the business environment.<br />

Careers Fair<br />

They can also find out about a<br />

possible travel industry career<br />

from the <strong>ITB</strong> Job Wall, which has<br />

more than 200 job vacancies.<br />

André Nickel, who is responsible<br />

for hotel and restaurant job<br />

photographers will be making<br />

honouring outstanding papers in<br />

the categories Best Dissertation,<br />

Best Newcomer Paper, Best Paper<br />

on Sustainability in Tourism and<br />

Best Paper on Digitalisation in<br />

Tourism<br />
