Janice has been acting as the
Westfield Village Voice
Correspondent for the Rye and
Battle Observer for some time, but
a replacement is now needed,
otherwise there will no longer be
items from the village to let readers
know about events which they may
like to attend. Over the years very
few people have fulfilled this
weekly effort, but Westfield has
had quite a remarkable record of
consistency. In these days of
social media, there is still a place
for the written word and
newspapers, particularly amongst
the more aged population. It is
important for them to keep in touch
with the outside world.
A new Correspondent is needed
now! Janice is happy to explain
what is required, but essentially it
just needs someone to email the
Observer each week with village
information, which is made easier if
organisations tell you about their
activities. To keep Westfield on the
