Purchase Requests – Key Learning Points<br />
• Must be raised and approved prior to a purchase.<br />
• Automatically distributed for approval by the person/s with the relevant authority.<br />
• Once Approved, becomes a Purchase Order (PO) and is automatically sent to<br />
the supplier.<br />
• The PO should be receipted when the goods or services are fulfilled.<br />
• A match of Invoice, Receipt and PO will mean the invoice can be paid.<br />
• There are two types of Purchase Requisitions:<br />
– Direct: coded to chargeable Work orders, authorised by a ‘Direct Work Order<br />
Manager’.<br />
– Indirect: coded to non-chargeable Work orders, authorised by an ‘Indirect Work Order<br />
Manager’.<br />
