Talents up,
Italian Job!
This is the real life with Italian style adhering to exclusivity,
simplicity and modernity sometimes blended with
traditionalism; it’s not a movie as Italian Job.
We have wrapped up Salone del Mobile in Milan and
headed to Cernobbio, two major steps for observing special
designs. The iSaloni is the best place to see talents’
works especially in furniture and interior decoration.
Proposte of Cernobbio is an excellent spot to see the
future trends set by all European designers led by Italy.
What’s so special with these two shows for everybody is
the originality of designs but what is more for me is that
there were a lot of Turkish companies in Milan and there
are 6 in Villa Erba where only European companies are
accepted. These two events show how Turkish talents
have also been developed for making charming and original
designs because it’s not an easy task to challenge at
that most important design arena of the world.

One of the reasons that Italian “Design” is so advanced
compared to other countries is attributed to having a
much larger percentage of college students pursue courses
and/or degrees in fields such as Architecture than
compared to the many other countries. Some others say,
“Italians grow up surrounded by so much arts and architectural
beauty, that it’s in their blood to design beautiful
things!”
Turks, on the other hand, as another nation of the
Mediterranean culture, have an ability to find new ideas
and to generate new designs by blending rich history and
culture of the nation with today’s modern societies.
