THE ACTIVITIES
The Dubai Fountain
FEEL ON TOP OF THE WORLD
No prizes for guessing what is Dubai’s
number one visitor attraction. At 456
metres above sea level, the observation
decks at the world’s tallest tower, At the
Top, Burj Khalifa may not invite you all
the way to the tip – that would be the
radio mast at 828 metres – but they’re
high enough to give you a head rush.
Step inside the high-speed elevator and
be transported in the blink of an eye
to the entry point on Level 124, where
you can zoom in on the world below
through high-powered telescopes,
before moving up another level for
panoramic views of the ever-developing
city. At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY ticket
holders can climb further towards the
clouds to Level 148, home to the world’s
highest observation deck with an
outdoor terrace (it's 555 metres high, in
case you were wondering). At the Top
opens for sunrise sessions from 5.30am.
ALL THE FUN OF
THE DUBAI FOUNTAIN
Lights, camera, action… Now just add
water. The world's tallest performing
fountain, The Dubai Fountain is the
definitive crowd-pleaser. Thousands
of robotic jets, hidden beneath the
30-acre Burj Khalifa lake, shoot water
500 feet into the air – the equivalent
of a 50-storey building – while colour
projectors work their magic. The
mesmerising performances are set to a
rotating musical repertoire featuring the
recorded likes of Andrea Bocelli, as well
as Arabic and world music. Whether
you’re seeing it for the first or the 50 th
time, it’s sure to give you goosebumps.
Shows take place daily from 1pm-
1.30pm (1.30pm-2pm on Fri) and every
30 minutes from 6pm to midnight.
