West Melton School hosts Science Roadshow<br />
LAST WEEK the Science<br />
Roadshow travelled to West<br />
Melton School.<br />
With two shows On the<br />
Move and Elemental Chemistry<br />
and a range of interactive<br />
exhibits, the whole school had an<br />
amazing time.<br />
The interactive exhibits had<br />
themes of:<br />
Forces – Ngā tōpana<br />
Comparisons – Ngā whakatauritenga<br />
Observations using<br />
measurements – Te mātakitaki<br />
mā te ine<br />
Patterns, grouping,<br />
classification – He tauira, he<br />
whakarōpu, he kōmakatanga<br />
Materials – Ngā matū<br />
Models – He tauira<br />
PHYSICS AND PHYSICAL: Alex on one of the exhibits.<br />
INTRIGUE: Aleks and Gredel with a hands-on exhibit.<br />

Pupils qualify<br />
AFTER AN action-packed<br />
day, five West Melton School<br />
pupils have qualified to the<br />
Canterbury Swimming<br />
Tournament.<br />
Twenty-six pupils from the<br />
school participated in the<br />
<strong>Selwyn</strong> Central Zone Swimming<br />
Tournament in Rolleston last<br />
Tuesday.<br />
The pupils who qualified were<br />
Lewi, Archie, Eleanor, Charlotte<br />
and Isablel.<br />
