Fashion Forecast Show
a first at The Hub
The Hub Hornby is proud to put on their very first Fashion
Forecast show on 11 April from 7pm to 8pm. This hourlong,
free event will showcase the latest autumn and
winter styles from a wide variety of fashion retailers within
the centre.
The growing variety of fashion and accessory
stores at The Hub now means customers
can shop for the latest fashions, including
shoes and accessories at the centre
with plenty to choose from and,
importantly, for all body types.
Rather than using professional
models, participating retailers are
organising their own models, using
staff, friends, and family. Centre
Manager, Jason Marsden, says
“We wanted to deliver an authentic
showcase of the upcoming new
season’s fashion. Rather than seeing
traditional models take to the runway and
people thinking that they may not be able
to wear that, we want to showcase real people
wearing real clothing.”
“This is going to be all about real fashion on real people.
We want our customers to think: ‘Yes I could wear that’.
This will also add a lot of fun to the event and there may
even be one or two surprise looks”.
Participating fashion stores include Caroline Eve, Farmers,
Max, K&K, Bras’n Things, Pagani, Jeanswest, Moda Bella,
Ziera Shoes plus others.
Proud to be… fashion experts on hand
During the lead up to the show, The Hub recently ran
an initiative called: ‘Proud to Be….’. This saw people
nominated and six winners each receiving a full makeover
to reflect their own personal style. “The aim
is to celebrate the diversity, stories,
and people of the greater Hornby
community. These recipients
will be familiar faces in the
community and it will be great
to introduce them and their
new looks throughout the
show, as each will take to
the runway to celebrate their
nomination,” says Marsden.

Each of the ‘Proud to Be…’
winners are in the process
of experiencing a makeover
with The Hub’s resident style
expert, Vick McMillian, creating a
look that suits the individual and their
personality.
Customers who are unsure or would like some additional
help can utilise the services of The Hub’s very own fashion
stylist Vicki McMillan. Vicki styles the three mannequins
located outside Michael Hill, drawing from multiple
retailers thus creating unique looks not seen in any single
store.
