Office renovations at CAL Isuzu in Te Rapa,
project managed by refurbishment specialists
Foster Maintain, has enabled the extensive
truck dealer network to establish a new Head
Office in Hamilton.
The move, driven by senior executives in the
business, was critical to the future of CAL
Isuzu says Managing Director Ashok Parbhu.
“The objective of this project was to bring
our ‘nerve centre’ together in Hamilton,
breaking down the walls to create a modern
and cohesive work space with good natural
lighting and an easy flow.
“We chose Foster’s because they completed
a project for us in 2014. That experience was
our key driver in getting them back.”
The first floor of the building was made up of
a series of small glass walled offices.
These offices were all demolished and
refitted to create an open plan middle space
with two smaller offices, a small meeting
room (‘The Gear Box’) and a larger videolinked
boardroom (‘The Engine Room’).
Foster Maintain worked around CAL
staff to complete the project in 10 weeks.
Complications arose when Council plans
were different to the architectural drawings
and they encountered some fire damage.
Still, the project was completed on time.
“We are very happy with the end result” says
Ashok. “It looks fantastic and the open plan
space works well for everyone.
“We enjoyed a seamless journey with Foster
Maintain to get here. They are a good bunch
of people who understood our needs well.”
