A huge reason the Halls purchased this
home in particular is the pool itself. “The
pool was perfect when we moved in. I
always wanted to live on a golf course
with a pool,” said Dana. “The house was
built by a builder (Rex Lovelady) and the
next owners owned a pool company,
the Jerrells! Why would you not buy this
beautiful home? It’s well built and has an
amazing pool.”
Looking at the yard as a whole, the scene
is indicative of life in the pinnacle of
relaxation. Different conversation areas
have been created with modern furniture
(“thank you Cajun Brothers for the beautiful
furniture!”). Different materials have
been used – such as natural stone, rock
and wood – to create visual interest with
textures. And, finally, the landscaping
is lovely, with flowering blooms and
green plants. Personal touches are also
added, such as a Razorback statue sitting
amongst the greenery. “The Razorback
was a gift many years ago. He has lived
in many flower beds in Georgia, Virginia,
Pennsylvania, Missouri, and of course
Arkansas.”
The Halls are a military family, and Dana
said this was the 14th and final move for
her, Andy and their only son, Ethan. “We
had three tours in Washington DC for a
total of nine years. Ethan feels his ‘home’
is split between Virginia and Georgia, but
he was actually born in Arkansas. When
Ethan was in 10th grade in Alexandria,
Va., attending TC Williams High
School (if you ever watched the movie
‘Remember the Titans’, that was his high
school), Andy was faced with a promotion
with a move. After a lot of family
conversation, Andy retired to secure
Ethan finishing his high school career in
one place without another disruption.
