STEMulate Engineering Academy:
Aspiring engineers and scientists entering
grades 3 – 6 may attend. Students will “act
as real-world engineers” as they dig into
problems and design solutions. The focus
this year will be engineering solutions to
problems for superheroes.

UCA Super Kids: Super Kids represents
the belief that all students are super and
thus should have the opportunity to attend

Smooth Sailing Days 2019: The UCA
Department of Communication Sciences
and Disorders invites children who stutter to
participate in the Summer Fluency Program.
The program is designed to provide speech
services to school-age children who stutter.
It is specifically geared toward children who
need to manage their stuttering and enhance
fluency in both learning and recreational

Analysis and Investigation through
Cyber-Based Scenarios Camp (AICS):
AICS is a scenario-based cyber security camp
where students act as homeland security
field agents to solve cyber security issues by
determining who is responsible, how they
did it and what actions should be in place to
detect and prevent future threats. This camp
is for rising 10th – 12th grade students. Visit

Bearswrite: From Pencils to Pixels
Creative Writing Camp: Bearswrite will
involve students in five action-paced days
of creative writing using both traditional
methods and writing with technology.

Cubs in the Kitchen: Culinary Camp:
This three-day camp for kids ages 8 – 12
is back by popular demand. Each day your
child will learn about each food group and
explore innovative ways to incorporate

2019 STEM Academy @ UCA: This is a
one-week immersion experience for students
entering grades 9 – 12. Three complementary
activities (1) data analysis and visualization
(2) empirical modeling and analysis and (3)
toxicology and microscopy are developed
to guide students to design, implement and
analyze data from their own experiment
with heart rates for Daphnia magna (water

IT Careers Camp: Any student who is
going to enter grade 9 through 12 in the fall
of 2019 may apply. Students will learn about
IT careers, IT skills (web or game development),
experience “college life” and more.
