You, and Each of You, Are Hereby Notified, that on the 16th day of <strong>July</strong>, <strong>2019</strong><br />

the above petitioner, filed a petition to<br />

Re-establishing surface and subsurface drainage for water problems<br />

along the western end of Thomas Lane and place system known as the<br />

Thomas Lane Ditch on County Maintenance.<br />

With the Commissioners Clerk of the County, the substance and prayer of<br />

which said petition is, that the construction of the improvement is necessary,<br />

will benefit the petitioner(s), and will be conducive to the public welfare, and<br />

prays for the making of such improvement on the following course and termini,<br />

to-wit: Commencing<br />

Starting at the existing catch basin on the east property line of Elizabeth<br />

Doherty (8700 Thomas Lane) and proceeding west along Thomas Lane<br />

through the lands of Elizabeth Doherty and David & Clarice Carle (8650<br />

Thomas Lane), thence crossing southerly under Thomas Lane and along<br />

the Thomas Lane through the lands of Wendy Ryan & Kevin Mannon<br />

(8651 Thomas Lane), through the lands of Kent & Caroline Stryker (8601<br />

Thomas Lane) and ending at a point to be determined on the lands of<br />

Jeffrey and Cathy Mere (8600 Thomas Lane) to a point to be determined<br />

to establish sufficient surface and subsurface drainage.<br />

All costs of engineering, construction, and future maintenance will be<br />

accessed to the benefiting parcels of land except as ordered under Section<br />

6131.31 of the Revised Code.<br />

All it is claimed that the improvement will affect property owned by you, and<br />

you are an owner named in the petition and of legal record on the date of its<br />

filing, you are hereby notified that the Board of County Commissioners of said<br />

County have fixed the 13th day of August, <strong>2019</strong> at 12:00 p.m. at 8651<br />

Thomas Lane in West Jefferson, Ohio 43162 as the time and place for the<br />

view thereon and also the 27th day of August, <strong>2019</strong> at 11:00 a.m. at the<br />

<strong>Madison</strong> County Commissioners’ Office, Courthouse, London, Ohio as the<br />

NOTICE FOR BIDS<br />

Bids shall be submitted electronically through the www.bidexpress.com web<br />

service until 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 13, <strong>2019</strong>, at which time they will<br />

be publicly received and read aloud, for the project known as:<br />

Furnishing and Installation of Prestressed Concrete Box Beam Superstructure<br />

All proposals shall be submitted electronically through the web service<br />

www.bidexpress.com. The bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the<br />

form of a bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid<br />

or a certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. In addition<br />

to the Bid Security, a one (1) year Maintenance/Performance Bond is required<br />

for this project in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total<br />

project cost.<br />

The Owner of the project is the <strong>Madison</strong> County Board of Commissioners.<br />

Copies of the plans and specifications must be obtained from<br />

www.bidexpress.com. All bidders must register and be a member of the web<br />

service to bid on the project.<br />

This notice is posted on the <strong>Madison</strong> County web page<br />

https://www.co.madison.oh.us/ under Current Legal Notices.<br />

Bid packets must be downloaded from www.bidexpress.com. Contact the<br />

<strong>Madison</strong> County Engineer’s Office at 740-852-9404 for more information.<br />

Anticipated delivery date is mid September.<br />

No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening<br />

thereof. Awarding of the contract shall be to the Lowest and Best bidder as determined<br />

by the <strong>Madison</strong> County Board of Commissioners in the best interest<br />

of <strong>Madison</strong> County. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.<br />
