Success in ILS<br />

(Independent Living Skills)<br />

The day will explore methods of food<br />

preparation, introducing equipment <strong>and</strong> core<br />

weighing, measuring <strong>and</strong> transference skills.<br />

The aim of the day will be <strong>to</strong> introduce safe<br />

methods <strong>and</strong> processes <strong>to</strong> enable simple<br />

snacks <strong>to</strong> be made independently. It will be<br />

a chance for Year 8 <strong>and</strong> 9 students <strong>and</strong> their<br />

supporting adults <strong>to</strong> see how independent living<br />

skills can be delivered <strong>to</strong> meet their needs.<br />

The day will enable parents <strong>and</strong> support staff<br />

<strong>to</strong> feel confident in supporting<br />

their child within an educational<br />

or domestic kitchen<br />

environment.<br />
