Hot springs hikes<br />
A variety of trails begin at the<br />
Nakusp Hot Springs parking<br />
lot. Begin on the pet friendly,<br />
wheelchair accessible trail<br />
leading to the newly built Kuskananx<br />
foot bridge. On the far<br />
side of the bridge you can view<br />
a spectacular waterfall, check<br />
out the source of the resort’s<br />
mineral water, view the cathedral<br />
cedars in the area, swim in an<br />
alpine lake or walk along the 8.5<br />
kilometres of cross country trails<br />
down into the Village.<br />
Maps can be picked up at the<br />
Nakusp Hot Springs lobby or at<br />
the visitor centre on 6th Avenue<br />
NW in Nakusp. After your day<br />
of hiking, it's time for a relaxing<br />
soak in the hot springs!<br />

Historic Leland Hotel<br />
The Leland Hotel, for a short<br />
time called Rathwell House, was<br />
the second hotel to be built in<br />
Nakusp. From 1892 it served the<br />
railway workers, merchants, and<br />
shipbuilding crews who poured<br />
into the brand new town but had<br />
nowhere to live.<br />
The Leland is BC’s oldest operating<br />
hotel, and the oldest wooden<br />
frame hotel in BC continuously in<br />
operation.<br />
