The Rev. Rob B acon serves as
rector of the parish of St Paul’s
Episcopal Church, 127 Summer St.
The parish was founded in April,
1918 , 101 years ago. Today, its mission
is to enable all to connect with
God and one another through worship,
prayer, service, and study.

Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield

Reconstructionist Communities.
We offer a contemporary approach
to Judaism while maintaining a respect
for traditional Jewish values.

Shabbat morning celebrations
this month will be on Saturday,
June 1, and June 15th at 9: 3 0am. A
Tot Shabbat is on Sat. June 8 th at
9: 3 0am with Rabbi Greg.
Our last Shabbat of the season
is on Sat. June 22 will be held on
Saturday, June 22 at B reakheart
Reservation. They meet in the
V ocational School’s parking lot off
Farm Street at 9: 3 0 a.m. and the
walk and talk with Rabbi Greg is
usually completed by 11: 3 0 a.m. All
ages are welcome.
Friday evening Shabbat celebration
this month begins at 7 : 3 0 p.m.
on June 7 . On Friday, June 2, Rabbi
has an invitation to a one-hour
Jewish Meditation Circle at 7 : 3 0
pm.
On Friday, June 14 Shabbat
will begin with a potluck dinner
at 6: 3 0 p.m. There will be a welcome
to new members and the installation
of officers. Main dishes
or sides are requested to be vegetarian,
dairy, and fish. The Temple
will provide challah, desserts, and
beverages. There is no charge, all

Shavuot is one of the Jewish festival
holidays celebrated for 8 days.
Originally it was a harvest festival
but now commemorates when
Moses received The Law, Torah for
the Jewish people. There will be
an Erev Shavuot with a Tikun Leil
Study session on Saturday evening
at 7: 30 p.m. On Sunday, June 9 the
Shavuot Morning First Day service
with Y izkor will be held, followed
by a Dairy Luncheon. Service begins
at 9: 30a m.
Finally, Rabbi Greg’s continuing
education series of Exploring
Judaism will be held on Wed. June
19 at 7 : 3 0 p.m. The topic will be
learning about Mussar, Jewish
Ethical Development.
