(DelMonico) Cucchiara, 88, of Peabody, died peacefully at her residence on Aug. 8, 2019 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Gaetano “Guy” Cucchiara. She was born in Lawrence on Sept. 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Amabile and Concetta (Coletta) Del Monico and had resided in Peabody for the past 60 years. She had worked in the Cafeteria Department in the Peabody School System prior to her retirement. She had been active parishioner of St Adelaide Church having belonged to the Couples Club, working with the harvest bazaars and working with the crochet group making blankets. She had been a member of the Mahjong club of Stoneham, the Sons of Italy, the Peabody Senior citizens and enjoyed her winters in Port Charlotte, Fla. She was also a member of the Hillview Country Club Women’s Golf League. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Cucchiara Bongiorno and her husband Joseph Bongiorno and Christine Cucchiara all of DINING GUIDE DIRECTORY Peabody, her precious grandchildren, Daniel Donovan of Peabody, Ashley Lawlor and her husband Daniel Lawlor of Milton, and Tara Bongiorno Buoncuore and her husband Matthew Buoncuore and a great-granddaughter Joanna Buoncuore all of Peabody, a sister, Marion Swidrak of Methuen and many nieces and nephews. Service information: A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St. West Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park West Peabody. Originally it was a harvest festival but now commemorates when Moses received The Law, Torah for the Jewish people. There will be an Erev Shavuot with a Tikun Leil Study session on Saturday evening at 7: 30 p.m. On Sunday, June 9 the Shavuot Morning First Day service with Y izkor will be held, followed by a Dairy Luncheon. Service begins at 9: 30a m. Finally, Rabbi Greg’s continuing education series of Exploring Judaism will be held on Wed.
