One of the best things about<br />
my job are the people I work<br />
with, we are like a big family<br />
When did you join Aurigny?<br />
I joined Aurigny in July 2011<br />
What is your job role and what<br />
have you found to be the biggest<br />
challenge?<br />
I am the Cabin Services Deputy<br />
Manager for Aurigny. I assist in<br />
stock control and ordering, sorting<br />
out rostering, managing the POS<br />
system, and then helping my team<br />
with the catering and cleaning side<br />
when needs be..<br />
Have you always wanted to work<br />
in the airline industry?<br />
I always had a slight interest in<br />
aviation when I was a kid, but<br />
never considered it as a career.<br />
But once I joined the aviation<br />
industry with Aurigny I couldn’t get<br />
enough of it - I just cannot believe<br />
that I have been working for the<br />
company eight years now, time<br />
does literally fly!<br />
What do you like to do on your<br />
days off?<br />
When I joined Aurigny I developed<br />
a big passion for the aviation<br />
industry which led me to save up to<br />
learn how to fly. Back in June 2014,<br />
I managed to get my Personal<br />
Pilot's Licence within 11 months.<br />
So now, when we do have good<br />
weather, I like to take my family and<br />
friends for a great experience in a<br />
small general aviation aircraft.<br />
I also have my own boat upon<br />
which you will see me out on the<br />
water fishing, popping over to<br />
Herm or Sark.<br />
In the winter I will hibernate onto<br />
my PC and fly on my personal<br />
flight simulator on which I do live<br />
streams on Twitch.<br />
What is the best thing about<br />
your job?<br />
I think it could be everything, I<br />
believe we offer a great service to<br />
the islands and tourist community.<br />
When I get into work there is<br />
always something different that<br />
happens or something to do which<br />
makes my job interesting, but one<br />
of the best things about my job are<br />
the people I work with, we are like<br />
a big family.<br />
