Beach Guide
Guernsey has a beach and bay for everyone.
GUERNSEY
Here we discover the beauty of Vazon Bay.
VAZON BAY
WEST COAST
Vazon Bay is a large expanse
of sand that is a magnet for the
island's extreme sports enthusiasts.
Whether you’re a surfer, kite
flyer or bodyboarder, Vazon is
the perfect beach for you. If you
want to get into surfing, Guernsey
Surf School is based here and
teaches all ages and abilities.
Vazon is also home to some
great places to eat. If it's a light
snack or an ice cream you want,
head to Richmond Kiosk located
towards the western end of the
bay. If you'd like a bigger selection
of food and rooftop dining with
beautiful views of the beach,
check out Vistas or Crabby Jacks
at the eastern end. Both are family
friendly and perfect for enjoying
dinner after a day out on the sand.
Twice a year, the bay plays
host to the Vazon Coast Road
Sprint as well as various weekend
sand racing meets. More
information on these can be
found on Guernsey Kart & Motor
Club’s website gmccc.co.uk.
Most of Guernsey’s beaches are
dog friendly during summer months
but there are restrictions. Between
1 May and 30 September dogs are
banned from Fermain, Petit Bot,
L’Eree, Vazon (northern end), Cobo,
Port Soif, L’Ancresse and Pembroke.
