Desde las imponentes montañas azules y las
aguas cristalinas que las rodean, el Valle del
Chirripó ofrece a los residentes y visitantes
de la zona una experiencia llena de paz,
tranquilidad, hermosas vistas y una conexión
directa con la naturaleza.
A tan solo diez kilómetros del centro de San
Isidro, Pérez Zeledón, el distrito de Rivas
se divide geográficamente en tres sectores:
Sector Buena Vista, Central y Chirripó, este
último conformado por las comunidades de
San Gerardo, Canaán, Chimirol, Herradura,
Los Ángeles, Guadalupe, San Francisco,
Talari, San José y Monterrey.
La zona se ha caracterizado por ser una ruta
de productos artesanales, hechos por gente
emprendedora y luchadora, por esta razón se
ofrecen muchos diferentes atractivos para
niños y adultos.
Dar un paseo por este lugar no solo lo
recarga de buena energía y felicidad, sino
también es un regalo para el alma el apreciar
tan hermosas vistas. La diversidad en
atractivos es fascinante, se puede disfrutar
desde el recién inaugurado Mariposario
Butterfly Kingdom Costa Rica, trucheros,
aguas termales, quesos suizos, fábrica
de chocolates, hasta deliciosos panes
artesanales, restaurantes que ofrecen una
gastronomía única, hoteles, senderos y
avistamientos de aves, por supuesto sin
dejar de lado el principal atractivo de la zona,
el mismo Cerro Chirripó.
Con 3820 mtrs de altura es este el cerro
más alto y maravilloso de Costa Rica, donde
la flora y la fauna lo abrazan cada kilómetro,
es un lugar para encontrarse a uno mismo y
demostrar la fortaleza mental y física, es un
reto constante mientras se da cada paso para
alcanzar la altura máxima. Una experiencia
inimaginable, en donde las palabras no
alcanzan para describir tanta belleza y en
donde la experimentación es la única forma
de explicarlo.

VALLEY
From the imposing blue mountains and the
crystal clear waters that surround them, the
Chirripó Valley offers residents and visitors
of the area an experience full of peace,
tranquility, beautiful views and a direct
connection with nature.
Just ten kilometers from the center of San
Isidro, Pérez Zeledón, the Rivas district is
geographically divided into three sectors:
Buena Vista, Central and Chirripó sectors,
the latter formed by the communities of San
Gerardo, Canaán, Chimirol, Herradura, Los
Angeles, Guadalupe, San Francisco, Talari,
San José and Monterrey.
The area has been characterized as a route
of handmade products, made by enterprising
and struggling people, for this reason, that
many different attractions for children and
adults are offered.
Taking a walk through this place not only
recharges you with good energy and
happiness, but it is also a gift for the soul to
appreciate such beautiful views. The diversity
in attractions is fascinating. You can enjoy
from the newly opened Butterfly Kingdom,
fresh trout, hot springs, Swiss cheeses,
chocolate factory, to delicious artisan bread.
Restaurants offer unique cuisine, hotels,
trails and birdwatching. Of course, without
neglecting the main attraction of the area,
the famous Chirripó Hill.
With 3820 meters high, this is the highest
and most beautiful mountain in Costa Rica.
Flora and fauna embrace it every kilometer.
It is a place to find oneself and demonstrate
mental and physical strength. It is a constant
challenge while taking step after step to reach
the maximum height and an unbelievable
experience. Words are not enough to describe
so much beauty, and experimentation is the
only way to explain it.

Valley should be an almost obligatory visit
for all Costa Ricans and foreigners who visit
the country attracted by the biodiversity and
