June 14, 1928” HISTORY At 7:00 p.m. on Flag Day, June 14, 1928, the Beaverhead Chapter, NS<strong>DAR</strong> held a ceremony that unveiled a “handsome Lewis & Clark marker jointly donated by the Anaconda Copper Mining Company and the Oregon Short Line Railroad.” The bronze marker was inset into a large granite boulder donated by the Oregon Short Line Railroad and 41
