<strong>Selwyn</strong> Arts<br />
Festival<br />
An extravaganza of art will be celebrated<br />
and created as part of the inaugural<br />
<strong>Selwyn</strong> Arts Festival.<br />
The festival will be packed with<br />
opportunities to see behind the scenes and<br />
meet the artists with events like Art Crawl<br />
visiting <strong>Selwyn</strong>’s three art galleries.<br />
Led by art connoisseur Kristin Kinney from<br />
Taste of Life Tours, the tour, on Sunday 13<br />
<strong>October</strong>, will give visitors a chance to meet<br />
artists and gallery managers, pick up some<br />
art for themselves and even be the subject<br />
of your own work of art.<br />
Art Crawl will take in an art celebration<br />
with live music and your chance to see an<br />

artist at work creating their next master piece at Down by the Liffey<br />
Gallery. Tour goers will also get the chance to feature during a stop at<br />
Lakeland Art Gallery in Leeston where portrait artist Sam Wakelin will<br />
be drawing free portraits in pencil, charcoal and ink.<br />
There will also be a chance to get up close to wearable art and chat<br />
with local and national artists at Art Couture – a wearable art show at<br />
Lincoln Event Centre on Saturday 12 <strong>October</strong>.<br />
The festival will feature something for everyone with workshops on<br />
everything from flax weaving, carving, pottery, photography and even<br />
fascinator making, as well as a chance to create with no rules and see<br />
your work displayed at the So What If You Can’t Draw workshop in<br />
West Melton on Sunday 13 <strong>October</strong>.<br />
