Selwyn Arts
Festival
An extravaganza of art will be celebrated
and created as part of the inaugural
Selwyn Arts Festival.
The festival will be packed with
opportunities to see behind the scenes and
meet the artists with events like Art Crawl
visiting Selwyn’s three art galleries.
Led by art connoisseur Kristin Kinney from
Taste of Life Tours, the tour, on Sunday 13
October, will give visitors a chance to meet
artists and gallery managers, pick up some
art for themselves and even be the subject
of your own work of art.

with live music and your chance to see an

artist at work creating their next master piece at Down by the Liffey
Gallery. Tour goers will also get the chance to feature during a stop at
Lakeland Art Gallery in Leeston where portrait artist Sam Wakelin will
be drawing free portraits in pencil, charcoal and ink.
There will also be a chance to get up close to wearable art and chat
with local and national artists at Art Couture – a wearable art show at
Lincoln Event Centre on Saturday 12 October.
The festival will feature something for everyone with workshops on
everything from flax weaving, carving, pottery, photography and even
fascinator making, as well as a chance to create with no rules and see
your work displayed at the So What If You Can’t Draw workshop in
West Melton on Sunday 13 October.
