Brighton last<br />

Wednesday.<br />

Strickland<br />

was allegedly<br />

driving a stolen<br />

white van and fleeing police<br />

when he struck Mr Amies at the<br />

intersection of Shaw Ave and<br />

Hawke St.<br />

A funeral service for Mr Amies,<br />

46, was held at St Faith’s Church<br />

Ha l in New Brighton yesterday<br />

afternoon.<br />

Police have recovered six<br />

firearms, drugs and two stolen<br />

cars during the raids.<br />
