Exciting Times
As another school year begins, Birchfield School
is not only warmly welcoming new pupils, but
also a number of new teachers to join the team in
our idyllic Shropshire school setting.
Amongst them are Heads of Department in English,
Mathematics and Science as well Music and a Director of
Sport. Mrs Morris, the Headmistress, commented that 'these
are exciting times at Birchfield and we are all delighted to be
welcoming our new subject specialist staff to complement the
existing high quality teachers'. With a wealth of experience in
the independent and maintained sectors, these
additions to our current team have a passion
for their subjects and are looking forward to
introducing some exciting innovation to their
relevant departments. Their prior experience
of teaching pupils of primary and senior school
age allows us to fully embrace high expectations
of pupil outcomes and share expertise in each
of these key subject areas. Experiments and
investigations are already busily underway in
the Science Laboratory and brand new phonics
and reading schemes are also being launched to
ensure the very best learning opportunities for
all our pupils.
