What Now hit Kaiapoi <strong>North</strong><br />
School last Sunday morning.<br />
The New Zealand<br />
children’s television<br />
programme was produced<br />
live at the school, aided by a<br />
crowd of excited children<br />
who were encouraged to<br />
scream for the cameras<br />
during the ‘‘foaming’’,<br />
‘‘gunging’’ and other antics.<br />
School principal Jason<br />
Miles said it was lovely to<br />
have What Now on site.<br />
‘‘They brought the whole<br />
set for the show with them. It<br />
is amazing. The children<br />
have been very excited about<br />
it. Every child likes the idea<br />
that they might be on<br />
television.’’<br />
It was abig day for<br />
Clarkville singer Ellie Shaw,<br />
aged 10, who won the event’s<br />
sKids Singing Sensations<br />
national competition. She<br />
went up against three other<br />
finalists from around New<br />
Zealand.<br />
