Don’t mess with me - I am a
Swift’ Steyr Mannlicher
I
certainly respect hunters
who have honed in on a
particular species to hunt.
I have a strong desire
to hunt as many species, at
different locations as possible.
The possibility of different areas
and different terrain excites me.
Although focusing only on a
few species, help you become an
expert on that particular animal
and its behaviour. Hunting
multiple species allows you to
gain a vast amount of
knowledge on a variety
of species.
Of course, there are pros and cons
to these scenarios. Therefore it is a
personal choice for each hunter. This
is the reason why I chose to widen my
hunting experience. A good example of
this is my recent trip with my younger
brother Danie to Rooibokkraal Safaris. It
was an adventure I’ll never forget. Filled
with anticipation, excitement with lots
of great hunting and plenty of fun.
After a four hour drive north, we
finally made it to the farm where
we would be hunting over the next
couple of days. Rooibokkraal offers
a unique atmosphere and landscape
which is impossible to explain - only
to experience it in person will justify
this beauty. It was truly amazing to
find a lodge on the spot where the
Marico river conflux with the Limpopo
André van Dyk Jr. with the massive 26’’
impala he shot with his Steyr Mannlicher
6,5x55mm and Swift A-Frame ammunition.
