MOFTAG BIDS A SAD
FAREWELL TO
YVONNE WOODHAM
IT is with heavy hearts
that the moftag club of
calpe pays tribute to our
dear member yvonne who
sadly passed away on 20th
november aged 72 years.
Yvonne moved to calpe in
2010 and joined moftag a
year later. she was an active
member and gave tirelessly
to all our fund raising
events. she had a huge
heart for giving. tragically
it was her heart that let her
down in the last few weeks
of her life.
She was incredibly talented
and knitted the most
beautiful toys which she raffled
to raise extra money for
our charitable causes.
Yvonne loved to socialise
and was even known to entertain
us with a song on the
odd occasion! she worked
hard on our committee helping
to plan and organise
events for our members to
enjoy too.
In addition to all of this
she was a dedicated wife to
her husband bob for almost
52 years and a proud mother
to 1 daughter and 2 sons.
she idiolised her 7 grandchildren
and leaves a huge void
in all of their lives.
Sadly missed but never to
be forgotten - we are grateful
that you could share a
part of your life with all of us
at moftag.
Monday Ramblers
PAUL and Jan Leniston
are reporting that this
group has made a very
promising start, despite
the less than perfect
weather.
Although the numbers
on each walk are limited
to about 16, so that everyone
knows everyone else for
most walks there are still a
few vacancies.
For the first walk on 7
October 16 set off to walk
in the valley from Jalon to
Parcent, with a banana stop
at Alcalali and our picnic
lunch at font in Parcent.
Photo 1 is of the walk on
14 October when 13 started
from Benimeli for a steady
climb up to the Aerials
overlooking the village and
ending at Bar Tormos for a
welcome drink.
Photo 2 is of the walk on
28 October when 11 walked
from Parcent to Benichembla,
via Murla, which included
crossing a river
three times - fortunately it
was not too deep after the
recent rain.

Wanderers
ALAN and Pat Cuthbert are
reporting a good turnout for
these less strenuous walks.
Photo 3 is of their walk on
6 November when a large
group walked to the Bernia
Fort.
The scenery was spectacular
and followed with a wellearned
lunch at the Refugio
Restaurant.
With walks on Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday
there is no excuse not to get
out and enjoy good company,
spectacular scenery, whilst
getting fresh air and fitter.
Come on please give it a go.
