BBC CHARTERING AUSTRALIA
BBC Chartering was named this year’s winner
based on several heavy-lift moves but notably
helping transport a ship unloader from
Zhangjiang in China to Brisbane on the deck of
the ship BBC Olympus. The cargo was expertly
computer-modelled and planned well in advance
of any physical activity. It was a tricky operation
with just centimetres of space to place the big
unit onto the rails while avoiding the existing
structures. Months of preparation from the
commercial and technical teams from BBC staff in
Brisbane and Singapore led to the loading of this
incredible piece of machinery.
