I’ve gone through quite a few Bible study
changes in the past few months.
My quiet time with Jesus has looked
significantly different each change, and I’ve had
to adapt to that. Sometimes it’s been easy to
have my morning devotions. Other times (like
when I have to be up at 6 am) not so much . . .
Random fact about me: I have to be awake for
at least 20 minutes+ have a strong cup of coffee
in hand, before I can focus on anything besides
wanting to go back to bed.
One thing that God has been showing me
lately is where my heart is.
Is my heart wanting more of Him? Because if so I’ll
do anything, go anywhere to find time alone with
Him.
Jesus is so much more than just an obligation.
Our quiet time with Him should not be out of
obligation but out of wanting deep within your
heart to be in His presence.

One thing I realized is that if we want Jesus more
than anything else, we will find time for Him. We
shouldn’t spend our days figuring out how to fit
Jesus in, but rather how to fit our day around Jesus.
Here are a few things that are important to keep in
mind when you have devotions.
