Autocross Series: Event 10, Lone Star Park

Event 10, the final Autocross event for 2019, was

also the Guns and Hoses Charity fund raiser. Maverick

Region PCA donated $1000 to the efforts, and between

onsite donors, the Equipe Rapide Sports Car Club, and

100% donations from all awards payout winners, the

group raised a record $6,000 for this important Police

and Fire Fighters organization. Police and Fire Fighters

from Garland, Mesquite, and Grand Prairie competed

in patrol cars and Tahoes for 2019 bragging rights in

classes mixed into the normal running of the event.

Porsche class winners included Igor Tulandin

defending top SUV time in his Cayenne GTS in class

P0, while Betty Perrine took class P1 in her 400,000+

P0 - 'PCA Zero'

mile 914. Amir El-Baghdady took class P2 but has a

new competitor coming for him in 2020: Jeff Duncan.

Mas Watanabe and Carey Spreen, driving his Boxster S

this time, fought it out in P3, with Mas taking the win.

Alec Baker and Bill Little were close all day in P4, with

Alec taking the win in his Cayman S. In class P5, the

big dogs, Owen Coulman was first in his GT3, followed

by Greg Samson in his 911S, and Holli Coulman in her

Turbo. And speaking of Big Dogs, Clay Perrine brought

his awesome 914/6 GT 4.0 back and he is starting to get

his arms around all that torque. Wait until next year!

Performance index-adjusted Porsche results were Owen,

Mas, and Carey, in that order.

2019 Season Wrap-Up: A total of 48 Porsche

drivers made up 133 entries and, in all,

drove 798 competitive runs this year. Year

End points Award-qualified trophy winners,

in order by class, are as follows:

Class P0: Igor Tulandin

Class P1: Ed Mayo, Mark Schnoerr,

Sigrid Schnoerr, Carey Spreen,

and Julia Underwood

Class P2: Amir El-Baghdady

Class P3: Mas Watanabe and Carolle Liu

Class P4: Doug Edney

Class P5: Owen Coulman

and Holli Coulman
