Seaford Kurlers
Happy New Year to all Seaford Scene readers!
Well, we have closed the door on 2019 and opened a
new one. As yet of course, we know not what the year
will hold for each of us.
Seaford Kurlers look forward to 2020 and make plans
for outings and for the club in general. We have seen
a number of changes, some for the better and sadly,
some unhappy events. We hope to reinstate our annual
competition which we have not been able to schedule
this for the last couple of years. This is something for us
to look forward to. If you would like to try something
new in 2020, why not give Kurling a go? Come along
on Tuesdays from 2pm to 4pm at Wave Leisure in
Seaford, and see what it’s all about.
Loooking back, Seaford Kurlers recently enjoyed an
extremely pleasant Annual Christmas Lunch at the
Seaford Royal British Legion. The beautiful food and
presentation is all down to the chef, Keith Tookey, and
his fantastic team of workers. Keith has been providing
our festive lunches for many years now. All the food
is cooked from fresh and tastes extremely good. The
ambience in the club is informal and friendly. The
club is a members’ club of the Seaford Royal British
Legion, but guests can be introduced by members. The
members’ fees are very reasonable. The overall cost to
join both the Royal British Legion and also the Seaford
Club works out at just over 50p per week. Fantastic
value for your money. There is a lot going on during the
week. Regular evening entertainment at the week ends,
bingo nights in the week, childrens parties at various
festive times of the year,TV, full size snooker table,
billiards table and darts and meat raffles etc. Give it a
try. You also will be helping to support our service men
and women and families.
Seaford Kurlers meet every Tuesday at 2pm till
4pm in the sports hall at Wave Leisure, Seaford.
Annual membership is £5 and weekly fees are £2.50.
