We come outof hibernation and out of stagnation that thewinter months produce within us and our lives.It’s now time to wake up, stretch and moveforward so that you can bloom and grow!For this issue of the TNT, we are seizing theseason to go above and beyond! At our annualManagers’ Meeting, the executive teamintroduced the Yellow Standard. What does goingabove and beyond mean to you? There is no exactdeinition and in this issue, you will ind severalstories of what the Yellow Standard means to ourTruly Nolen family.Inside, you will also ind beautiful scenic photostaken by your colleagues. From the Nolen FamilyTruly Nolen of America, Inc. has a long history of going the extra mile for ourcustomers —particularly during times of great need. In the early days, as the worldwas coming out of the Great Depression, Truly W. Nolen was not only taking care of therats, but he was treating each customer like family. He would do anything — visit themin the hospital, ix plumbing late on a Sunday, buy groceries — any opportunity to helpa customer well beyond killing bugs.Truly David Nolen continued that tradition in good times and in bad. For example,during Hurricane Andrew when other companies were shutting down, Truly gave themarching orders to give our fume tarps out to whomever needed a tarp for atemporary roof. This outside-the-box thinking, afforded us long, meaningfulrelationships. Ultimately, we came out of the ‘storm’ stronger than ever. We take care ofour customers, not just their bugs.During these uncertain times, there is one thing that is certain — following the GoldenRule. We have an opportunity not only as a company, but also as an industry. Considerthis: we are accustomed to wearing gloves and masks. We routinely educate people onsanitation and often help in that process. We talk to people during stressful situationsoften about pests that they frequently cannot see. Although there is nothing that canquite prepare for the impact of this pandemic, Truly Nolen has a unique opportunity totruly serve our community.We have an opportunity to go beyond killing bugs. We have an opportunity to give toand serve our communities at the highest level ensuring that the experience isexceptional, even during uncertain times. This is what the Yellow Standard is all about.A special thank you to all of our partners who are in the ield and out servicingthe community!Stay Strong!
