CREATING SWAG FOLDSFind places on your subject where you can hang fabric between twopoints. I took advantage of several opportunities here to create swagfolds: between the knees, between the shoulders, and between theshoulder and the outstretched arm.
INTERLOCKING FOLDThe interlocking fold materializes when fabric folds overon itself, creating a little pocket. Also, a local language of clothes exists in everysociety. We all get an immediate impression of someone who dresses in the styleof a particular group or subculture. These understandings are shortcuts to creatingcharacter and telling a story, but it’s your job to create the individual depth.
