<strong>of</strong> regional partnerships within the financial sector in the Intelligence Reform <strong>and</strong> Terrorism Prevention Act <strong>of</strong> 2004. 15<br />
Following the success <strong>of</strong> ChicagoFIRST <strong>and</strong> the subsequent promotion <strong>of</strong> the regional partnership concept, regional partnerships<br />
have formed in many areas <strong>of</strong> the country, including the following:<br />

In addition to these formally established partnerships, several other regions in the United States are aggressively pursuing the<br />
formation <strong>of</strong> such organizations in their region or State.<br />
In 2006, in order to share best practices, assist one another, <strong>and</strong> plug into the existing national public/private partnership, these<br />
regional partnerships formed the Regional Partnership Council, called RPC FIRST. The organization meets quarterly <strong>and</strong> is<br />
developing a Web site.<br />
